On a beautiful February morning, @unrulywines welcomed a gorgeous group of girls from a @glenedenestate retreat to help hand-pick our Chardonnay 🍇.
The vineyard was alive with laughter and energy as the girls filled their buckets—no easy feat this year, with a late spring frost making the fruit a little trickier to find. But they smashed it.
After the pick, we shared a beautiful breakfast overlooking the vines, thanks to the legends at @feastcatering.
From there, the grapes were whisked away to the winery, where the team got stuck into crushing, pressing, and working their magic to create our 2025 ‘nude’ Chardonnay.
One of our most-loved drops, the ‘nude’ refers to its unwooded style—no oak, just Chardonnay in its purest form: light-bodied, crisp, and beautifully vibrant.
Bottling day came around quickly, and with the help of our mates at @milbrodalefarm, our unruly ‘nude’ was sealed and ready to go.
Another unforgettable day, filled with good vibes, good people, and lots of laughter that lingered long into the night. 🍇🍷❤️

Before the grapevines reset for the next growing season, they need a bit of tidying up and that’s where machine pre-pruning comes in.
A specialised pre-pruning machine moves through the vineyard rows, cutting back the long, tangled canes from the last growing season. These are the leftover shoots that have done their job and are now just getting in the way. The machine doesn’t make detailed cuts—it simply clears out the bulk of the excess growth quickly and efficiently.
By knocking back the extra canes, the machine:
✅ Opens up the vine structure, making it easier for us to choose the best shoots for next season
✅ Speeds up winter pruning, saving time and labour
✅ Reduces disease risk by improving air flow and removing leftover material
Now the pre-prune is done we are ready to start pruning in the next few weeks - choosing which shoots will carry next season’s crop and setting up our vines for optimal balance, health and fruit 🍇 quality for the 2026 vintage.
