We currently have Chardonnay, Verdelho and Chambourcin planted.
We started producing Unruly Wines in 2021.
We have produced this many bottles since our first vintage!! We love seeing this!!

Fabulous morning to finish harvesting our Chardonnay. These grapes 🍇 will go into our ‘Nude’ & ‘Wild’.
‘Nude’ is our unoaked version, just pure glorious chardonnay, and ‘Wild’ is produced using natural yeast & fermented in oak barrels.
The grapes are now thankfully in the winery being crushed & cold stabilised before the heat of the day sets in.
Whites are now done & dusted. for @unrulywines for 2026. 😓 🍇🍷❤️

Chardonnay is in — and our 2026 bubbles journey has officially begun. ✨🍇
We’ve just harvested our Chardonnay for Unruly Blanc de Blancs, and it’s heading into méthode traditionnelle (the classic, time-honoured wayof making champagne) fermentation, then a second ferment in bottle, then time… and more time).
Thanks to @granvinoharvesting - great job!!!!
Right now it’s all fresh citrus and crunchy green apple. Next comes patience — letting it evolve into something seriously special.

So……. first harvest of #vintage26 for @unrulywines! We harvested 2 weeks early due to the recent bout of 40 degree days. Fruit looks amazing and we harvested 12.5 tonne of Verdelho.

2025 at Unruly Wines
Early morning harvests, late night winemaking 🍷 and sharing glasses at golden hour — this year was a little wild in the best way.
We pruned, picked and pressed; learned from the weather; and laughed at the chaos our resident farm crew brought to the vineyard.
From first budburst to the last bottling run, every step reminded us why we craft small-batch wines.
To our beautiful customers: thank you for showing up, cheering us on, and letting us share our little bit of Unruly magic.
We tried new things, tucked away a few surprises, and we can’t wait to share what is coming in 2026.

Using the wool from our alpacas 🦙 as mulch in the garden.
It holds moisture really well and acts as a slow-release fertiliser adding nitrogen and organic matter to the soil.
It doesn’t smell bad and suppresses the weeds.
